Danielle Homa
Founder & Teacher
For as long as I can remember, I have felt a profound calling from the Lord to help children by integrating my Christian faith with education. Though my road into the education field has not always been direct, the lessons and experiences learned along the way have all been valuable.
I grew up in the Carmel area for several years and attended a number of local schools including River School, Junipero Serra School at the Carmel Mission, and Santa Catalina. In May 2022, I graduated from Grove City College, a private Christian college in Western Pennsylvania, with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a state-licensed PreK-4 teaching credential.
Throughout my time in college, I had the opportunity to teach and work in various educational settings, including a Montessori Christian school, public elementary schools, a Classical Christian school, daycares, tutoring, summer camps, and more. There is nothing more rewarding than sharing the love of Jesus with children.
My relationship with Jesus is the foundation of my life and my teaching philosophy. Philippians 4:13 is my life verse. I can try to teach in my own power, but I will only accomplish so much. Lasting impact for my students can only come from the Lord. He’s the one that knows what each child needs, and He’s the one that will equip and work in their hearts and mine. As educators, we are not only giving our students the tools they need to become successful in school and life but also the tools and encouragement to spread the love of Jesus to all around them. I am beyond excited to see what the Lord has in store for Blessed Beginnings Education, and I am excited to meet you!
My husband, Benjamin, and I currently live in Monterey with our beagle puppy, Holly. In my free time, you’ll find me spending time with my amazing family. I love to swim, sing, bake, garden, and take walks along the beach.
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

"Danielle is a person who takes initiative; she didn’t wait to be told what to do, but she saw what needed to be done, and she attended to it independently. Her lesson plans were excellent, and she knew how to reflect on her teaching and make adjustments as needed. Danielle also demonstrated that she understood how to individualize instruction, and she often modified assessments to meet individual students needs. I came to regard Danielle as a co-teacher; she is a professional in every sense of the word. I highly recommend Danielle, and I know she will be an asset to any school district."

"Danielle’s instructional delivery was a strength. She was able to provide whole group instruction, lessons planned by her cooperating teacher, those that followed the curricular materials provided, and original ideas. She readily incorporated technology and traditional paper-pencil resources. Danielle demonstrated natural teaching instincts. It was evident that she understood the purpose of her instruction was to help students achieve the learning goal rather than merely following a lesson plan. She is the type of teacher every parent hopes for and every classroom deserves."

"Danielle maintained a positive environment where learning could take place. She was kind, calm, and patient in her manner with her students and she was very purposeful in her teaching. I appreciated the way Danielle set expectations at the beginning of a lesson and then kept the flow of the lesson going to hold their attention. She built a very nice rapport with her students, and it was obvious that she enjoyed working with them! Most importantly, Danielle has proved herself superior in the area of professional responsibility."

“Danielle is an excellent teacher. Her classroom interactions were consistently positive, enthusiastic, and helpful. She created a friendly and safe environment for the children and responded to all student with positive feedback. Mrs. Homa’s lessons were well planned. She planned lessons for both whole group and small group instruction. She planned and taught regularly for the active participation of students. She incorporated both cooperative learning and hands-on experiences with her guided instruction. The environment Mrs. Homa created was both warm and accepting: therefore giving all her students the opportunity to grow and show success.”
